2025 Organizational Meeting

are we on okay well let's bring the January 2nd 2025 uh Webster Town board's organizational meeting to order we'll do the Pledge of Allegiance I pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all and why don't we do the uh roll call now supervisor flarey here councilman Cahill here councilwoman cataldi present councilwoman W here councilwoman Wright here attorney to the town Taylor here okay so tonight's kind of a it's a special type of board meeting because we were saying uh just before I know that uh Eileen and Amy's family did not come here to see the organizational meeting all right um I think you're here for the second meeting at approximately 7:30 um each year at the beginning of the year we have what's called an organizational meeting and we run through about 45 to 50 resolutions that essentially is setting up the Webster town government

for the year so it's very housekeeping esque we'll try to run through it very quickly and then as soon as we're done with that we will roll right into the regular Town board meeting um where Amy and Eileen will be uh focused on during that uh and that'll be at 7:30 can't be any sooner than 7:30 because the town board meeting was uh posted as being 7:30 so by law we can't start it earlier if our org meeting takes a few minutes too long we can start the regular board meeting at 7:33 or 7:35 so without further Ado um motion the first motion is a motion made by myself that the town board workshops of the Webster Town board for the calendar year 2025 be held at the Webster Town boardroom here at2 Ridge Road Webster New York at 6:30 p.m. and town board meetings begin at 7:30 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of the month second all in favor I I all opposed I make a motion number two that the hours of the town offices for the calendar year 2025 be as follows 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

offices will be officially closed on Saturdays Sundays and holidays second all in favor I I I I all opposed resolution number three I make a motion setting the schedule on which holidays shall be observed during the calendar year 2025 at which uh time the town hall will be officially closed uh retroactive New Year's day yesterday Martin Luther King day on Monday January 20th President's Day and Monday February 17th Memorial Day Monday May 26th juneth Thursday June 19th Independence Day Friday July 4th Labor Day Monday September 1st Columbus Day Monday October 13th Veterans Day Tuesday November 11th Thanksgiving day Thursday November 27th day after Thanksgiving Friday November 28th and Christmas day Thursday December 25th second all in favor I I all opposed resolution four I make a motion that the Webster Herold be designated as the official newspaper of the town of Webster for calendar year 2025 zaka all in favor I I all opposed resolution five I make a motion that the following

officers and employees of the town of Webster be allowed mileage in connection with official business of the town at a rate of 70 cents per mile the claim of payment of such mile mileage should be made monthly for the preceding month on proper vouchers itemizing the date Place purpose and the number of miles in accordance with law and the same shall be filed in the finance department and audited by the town board those Department uh Personnel are supervisor town clerk historian Director of Finance Justice Town clerks planning board members conservation board members town the two Town justices the four council members custodian youth workers board of appeals members and the account second all in favor I I all opposed resolution six uh I make a motion that Sandy Macaluso be appointed as a civil officer for the town eper for a term of one-year ending December 31st 2025 second all in favor I I all opposed resolution 7even I make a motion that mangle meter bar and Company LLP be contracted by the town of Webster as the auditor for the financial records of the officials of the Town beginning January 1st 2025 and continuing through December 31st

2025 and for any and all Sury services that may be called upon to perform by the town officers of web second all in favor I I all opposed I make a motion that supervisor flare be appointed Deputy Administrator of civil defense second second all in favor I I I all opposed I make a motion that all police officer in the police department are entitled to receive and keep all the Civil fees received by them this duty is is to be performed on and off due the hours second second all in favor I I all opposed resolution number 10 that the town board act as the town Board of Health when necessary during the year 2025 the supervisor flarity be designated as president and councilwoman caldi be designated as Secretary of s said Board second all in favor I all opposed oh I get a turn um the motion is that a blanket bond for the following officers is set forth by hereby approved

as to the amount form sufficiency of shity thereof the cost of said Bond being a charge upon the town of Webster that the town attorney has examined this Bond and reports to the board that it is sufficient as to form that it will be examined and approved by the county attorney and that this bond is to be filed with the county clerk second all in favor I I I all opposed resolution 12 I make a motion that the salaries for the employees on the general fund and Library fund Highway and Sewer funds will be paid bi-weekly second all in favor I I I all opposed resolution 13 I make a motion that the salaries for the elected appointed and employed persons in the town of Webster during the year 2025 be pursuant to the schedule five filed with the Town Clerk and in accordance with the 2025 Town budget second all in favor I I all opposed I make a motion that there shall be an association of town towns meeting in the New York City in 2025 Town officials should be allowed to attend actually a necessary expenses incurred

Transportation lodging food miscellaneous up to maximum of the budget amount by them in attending this meeting shall be a proper charge to the town of Webster second all in favor I I all opposed I move that supervisor flare be appointed as the town representative to the New York State association's a Town's meeting for 2025 and that Paul Adams be appointed as the town alternate representative second all in favor I all opposed make a motion that the town board adopt the authorized positions list funded in the 2025 budget and on file in the town clerk's office and that supervisor flarity is authorized to hire such additional assistance and Replacements on behalf of the Town board as may be needed in town offices pursuant to town law section 29 16 second all in favor I I all opposed I move that the following Banks be designated as depositories for the town funds in 2025 Citizens Bank can Anda National Bank Evans Bank NBT Bank Key Bank JP

following actions adopt the $15.50 per hour 2025 state New York State minimum wage rate for part-time hourly employees making $15 per hour approve a 50 Cent com uh compression adjustment for part-time hourly employees making more than $15 an hour but less than $16 per hour uh approve a 2% increase for part-time hourly employees making $16 or more per hour approve a 2% increase for nonunion salaried employees and officials second all in favor I I all opposed and that my friends was the 48th and final resolution of the organizational meeting there are uh those were all approved by the five Town board members we are representative Republic we have to vote on things of that nature uh as supervisor I have very minimal executive privilege I have four that come out at the uh at the org meeting at at the pleasure of serving for the supervisor I hate saying that but uh Patty cataldi has accepted to be the deputy supervisor

for 2025 thank you Patty thank you Tom um Paul Adams with some cajoling is accepted to be continue to be the finance director for 2025 thank you Paul uh Kim Doyle who's not with us uh here tonight has accepted to continue to be I hate saying secretary to the supervisor cuz she is a lot more she your Handler holy cow Chief of Staff Zars whatever and then Lyn Barton uh has graciously accepted to continue in the role of the Webster historian in 2025 so those are the those are the four um appointees that the supervisor has sole I guess discretion over and that at 734 p.m. concludes the setting up of the Webster government for the calendar year 2025 not bad not bad so um
