Mr. Brian Neenan,Superintendent From: Brian Freeman Re: Change Order Approval - IS-001 Cc: Board of Education Date: 8/30/2024 Attached you will find the resolution to execute a change order for the following amount, $112,167. All change orders that are over $35,000 need Board of Education approval before being sent for approval at SED. This change order will address the replacement of the gutters and downspouts at Plank North Elementary School. The work will revolve around the following: ✔ Remove existing gutters and downspouts ✔ Install new gutters at all areas that slope away from the buildings ✔ Install heavy duty support for the gutters ✔ Install 31 new downspouts ✔ All labor and materials This additional work was requested by the district construction team as a benefit to the building while roof work is being performed. The contractor is the same that performed the identical work at both Klem North and State Road over the past two years as part of the annual $100,000 capital outlay project voted as part of the budget in 2022 and 2023. The funds are available to perform this work through our construction contingency budget and the work falls within the voter approved scope of the project. The total contract amount for Elmer W. Davis will increase from $2,899,500 to $3,011,667. It is anticipated that the work will commence immediately and be completed this fall. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
