This represents a new approach to budgeting for safety and security items, which previously received a yearly allocation. The lease will include: 169 Security Cameras and necessary installation hardware 285 Network Clocks with alert messaging and necessary installation hardware The lease will span five years and will be managed through our partners at Monroe 1 BOCES to maximize state aid for the program. The terms and conditions are attached for your reference. The total cost of the program is $809,405.85, which will be divided over the five-year term at $161,881.17 per year. The total purchase cost differs from the BOCES quote due to additional borrowing and administrative expenses. This five-year cycle for hardware upgrades will help us keep pace with technological advancements, though at a slower rate than the personal device lease cycle, ensuring smaller payments over time. The yearly payment aligns with the budgeted amount for these items, creating a budget-neutral process. This will generate $518,000 in BOCES aid over the life of the lease.
