Fiscal Year

Treasurer’s Report For the Month Ending June 30, 2025

Prepared By

Lori Schreiber, Treasurer

Brian Freeman, Assistant Superintendent for Business

Proud.

Executive Summary Revenues:

e

Final State Aid payments for our fiscal year arrived at the end of the month.

e

Interest earnings increased over previous months due to large CD investments maturing.

e

Continuing education and aquatics revenues remain strong.

e

School lunch revenues are lower than last year due to cut backs on catering expenses for the general fund.

e

Federal fund grants for IDEA and UPK that end June 30 have been reimbursed by

the state.

Appropriations

@

General fund spending in June is trending higher for two reasons. oO

June 30 balloon payments always increase payroll costs

oO

Final debt payments are made in this month

@

School lunch expenditures remained consistent with typical June levels.

e

Capital project spending for the $85 million increased in June with a focus on planning for the elementary phases and additional work at Schroeder.

The first

payments for construction at Schroeder and Willink have also been made, increasing the overall expenditures for the project. e

Most federal grants have been expended; current activity is limited to grant

closeout expenditures and adjustments, with ongoing spending primarily in WonderCare and Continuing Education programs.

Cash Flow:

@

Cash flow increased drops in June due to large payroll expenditures.

e

Total balance is about even with last year in spite of increasing capital expenditures.

e@

Projections indicate strong cash flow through the summer months.

Miscellaneous / Investments: @

Average investment rate is 4.45% across all investment opportunities.

e@

Heading into summer months we focus on shorter term investments.

@

More banks bidding in the municipal market so | am predicting some changes in the coming months of where our investments will end up
