MAINTENANCE SHOP HEAT

• The maintenance shop heat was not considered a necessary improvement. • Commissioning of new heating system for Administration building upgrade – shop heating not sufficient • Proposal for new more efficient radiant heating

HSOW DUMPSTER ENCLOSURE ▪ The new HSOW Building will take in hauled-in waste – resulting in screening debris. ▪ Original plan was to haul it down to our Service Building. ▪ Decision to have a dedicated dumpster near the HSOW Building.

AERATION TANK SLIDE GATES o As an early cost cutting exercise, it was determined that the gates were operable, though hard to move. o Decided to not include them in the original budget. o To truly maintain and extend the diffuser’s life, frequent maintenance is needed.

SPARE SLUDGE PUMP PARTS ✓ Room in the Solids Building for one pump. ✓ Early decision was to not have spare parts – due to BDP’s service and availability of stock

items. ✓ Current operations – with the Belt Press operational, we understood the need to have a shelf spare in house. 6

MATERIAL MATTERS CONSULTING AGREEMENT ❖Material Matters was part of the original project evaluation ❖Conducted an extensive evaluation of potential outlets for our Class A Fertilizer ❖Brings expertise to a new cost-saving and potential revenue generating endeavor.

PRIMARY CLARIFIER ICE PREVENTION SYSTEM ❑ Tanks & equipment were commissioned in the late summer/early fall of 2024. ❑ As temperatures dropped below 20 degrees, we began to have mechanical issues.

❑ Ice build-up on the limit switch and would trip the collector drive. ❑ Installed heat lamps (6) on all collectors. ❑ Numerous extension cords ❑ Safety issue ❑ Potential damage from snow removal 8
