Contractor Status
Contractor Status Summary Fall 2025 Phase 1: Closeouts While new phases launched, the team worked to finalize the earliest stages of the Capital Improvement Project. ● Roofing: As of October 17th, the district was wrapping up roofing contracts and waiting on final close-out documentation.
Phase 2: Willink Middle School & Schroeder High School By mid-October, Phase 2 projects transitioned from heavy structural work to interior finishes and site-specific coordination. ● Willink Addition: o The building’s skeleton reached a major milestone with steel and decking completed. Roofing materials were delivered to the site by mid-October to begin enclosing the structure. o Interior Renovations: Work in the Willink Main Office was nearly finalized, with only the installation of blinds remaining. Restroom progress was pending the arrival of new doors. ● Schroeder Site & Athletics: o Additional sitework by Pooler was coordinated to avoid interfering with athletic schedules, specifically holding off on small lot additions until after football playoffs. o A change order for the new Shot Put area was officially approved in October.
Phase 3: Spry & Thomas (Bidding & Planning) The focus for Phase 3 during the fall was finalizing budgets and preparing for the competitive bidding process. ● Bid Schedule: The bid opening for the Spry and Thomas projects was set for November 3, 2025. ● Budget Estimates: Preliminary estimates for this phase totaled over $28 million,
Future Planning The committee used the fall sessions to identify long-term needs for upcoming phases. ● WAC Improvements: Future focus areas identified included boiler replacement, pool filtration, pumps, and upgraded badging systems. ● Phase 6: Initial discussions took place regarding a potential Phase 6
