The Webster Board of Education is committed to providing an excellent, caring educational environment. We

value individual differences and believe in educating the whole child. This includes developing essential skills:

Resilience, Perseverance, Collaboration, Integrity, Time Management, Self Management, and Communication. All

students should graduate ready for success as learners, workers, and citizens.

The Board of Education is guided by the district's mission, vision, and core beliefs.

Goal 1 -- Academic Program and Student Achievement: Our academic program will provide all students with the

knowledge and skills necessary to be successful throughout their educational experience and beyond. To ensure

that our students can achieve this standard, all district staff will:

● Prioritize mathematics instruction through professional study and development, high-quality

instruction, and research-based curriculum resources.

● Optimize literacy instruction through continued professional development, high-quality instruction, and

research-based curriculum resources.

● Educate the whole child, providing equitable opportunities for students to develop their social,

emotional, physical, and academic skills as they work to achieve district and state standards.

● Challenge students to move beyond proficiency to the mastery level of achievement through high

expectations and rigorous instruction.

● Apply district-wide and building data gathered through Professional Learning Community (PLC) cycle to

strengthen pedagogy and ensure greater consistency within and across curricula.

Goal 2 -- District Climate and Culture: Our district will provide a safe, respectful, and caring environment, and we

will foster the physical, social, emotional, and mental health of our students, our staff, and the community. To

ensure achievement of this goal, all district staff will:

● Create meaningful opportunities for student, staff, and other stakeholder voices to impact building and

district culture.

● Refine our multi-tiered system of support (MTSS), through the use of consistent data and data tracking

tools.

● Build understanding to ensure a welcoming and affirming environment that respects the dignity of all.

● Collaborate with staff, families, and community partnerships to enhance safety, security, and overall

well-being for all students and staff.

Goal 3 -- Operations and Financial Planning: Our financial operations will utilize sound budgeting and fiscally

responsible practices that reflect the interests and values of the school community. These practices will prioritize

educational programs and innovative opportunities for the students of today and tomorrow. To ensure

achievement of this goal, the district will:

● Build educational partnerships to enhance the value of district programs, operations, and educational

opportunities for our students.

● Prioritize improvements of district facilities around curriculum, health and well-being, and safety and

security.

● Use data to share our story with the community -- promoting the great work of the district and inviting

more community members to participate in district voting.

● Forecast future revenues and expenditures to promote financial well-being.
