Mr. Brian Neenan, Superintendent From: Brian Freeman, Assistant Superintendent for Business Re: Health Insurance - Group Membership Request Cc: Board of Education Date: 04/7/2026 A request has been received by Karyl Borriello, spouse of Anthony Borriello, deceased, to continue membership in the Webster Central School District Dental insurance group. Mr. Borriello passed away on April 11, 2025 after retirement from the district. In accordance with Regulation 4180 – Health Insurance Participation, the immediate family of deceased employees are eligible to continue medical and dental insurance coverage at their own expense, providing premium payments are made to the Benefits Office before they become due. Membership shall not extend beyond a 12-month period unless individually approved by the Board of Education. In discussions with Mrs. Borriello, she agreed to continue the insurance coverage with the district and to pay the full monthly premium charge for the dental benefit, in accordance with Regulation 4180. The current monthly cost for the Smile Saver Dental Plan is $28.46. I recommend that she be approved to continue in our dental plan, as group coverage represents a significant cost savings when compared with the same plan billed to her directly.
