Webster NY, 14580 Proposal to install a fence in a Town Drainage Easement.
After reviewing the site and discussing the residents’ desire to replace the fence along the South and East side of the property, the Highway Department is supportive of their pursuit of a License Agreement to perform this work within the drainage easement.
The stream running along the eastern property line will not be affected by the replacement of the fence and therefore the fence will have no negative effects on the drainage of the overall area, including neighboring properties. The proposed fence is a wooden split rail fence which will allow for temporary removal at the Southeast corner if stream maintenance is needed at that location.
All zoning and permit approvals are still required.
