Mr. Brian Neenan, Superintendent From: Brian Freeman, Assistant Superintendent for Business Re: Health Insurance - Group Membership Request Cc: Board of Education Date: 02/11/2026 A request has been received by Richard Brunette, spouse of Mary Brunette, deceased, to continue membership in the Webster Central School District medical insurance group. Mrs. Brunette passed away on December 29, 2025. In accordance with Regulation 4180 – Health Insurance Participation, the immediate family of deceased employees are eligible to continue medical and dental insurance coverage at their own expense, providing premium payments are made to the Benefits Office before they become due. Membership shall not extend beyond a 12-month period unless individually approved by the Board of Education. In discussions with Mr. Brunette, he agreed to continue the insurance coverage with the district and to pay the full monthly premium charge for the medical benefit, in accordance with Regulation 4180. The current monthly cost for the Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan is $250.90. I recommend that he be approved to continue in our medical plan, as group coverage represents a significant cost savings when compared with the same plan billed to her directly.
