Mr. Brian Neenan, Superintendent From: Brian Freeman Re: External Audit RFP Cc: Board of Education Date: 1/31/2022 The Webster Central School District along with 14 Monroe County Districts and 2 BOCES participated in a request for proposals (RFP) for external auditing services. Six auditing firms were engaged to respond to the RFP that was submitted for the fiscal years 2022-23 through 2025-26. As this was an RFP process for services, the district is not required to accept the lowest bidder. Only two groups engaged in the process for Webster CSD. The Bonadio group is prevented from engaging as they are currently the internal auditor for the district. The business office recommends that Mengel, Metzger, Barr & Co. continue to be the external auditing firm of the two that responded. The firm’s expertise in the area of school auditing, time commitment and allotment to the district, and robust professional development support were the deciding factors.
