WEBSTER CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF EDUCATION
RESOLUTION TO APPOINT ERIN LAND AS ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT FOR
INSTRUCTION AND APPROVE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the Board of Education wishes to appoint an individual to the position of
Assistant Superintendent for Instruction; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has determined that Erin Land (“Ms. Land”)
possesses the necessary qualifications to serve as the Webster Central School District’s Assistant
Superintendent for Instruction; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Land has resigned her position as Director of Elementary Education
while serving as Interim Assistant Superintendent for Instruction for the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education wishes to appoint Ms. Land as Assistant
Superintendent for Instruction; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has negotiated with Ms. Land the terms and
conditions of employment with Ms. Land to serve as Assistant Superintendent for Instruction,
with the proposed agreement effective March 15, 2022 and to continue in effect through June 30,
2026 unless terminated by either party upon at least thirty (30) days’ written notice; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Education has reviewed and considered the proposed
agreement as submitted and seeks to approve the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, it is resolved that
1. The Board of Education hereby accepts Erin Land’s formal resignation as Director of
Elementary Education and Interim Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
2. Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools, Erin Land, who holds a
School District Leader Certificate, is hereby appointed to a three-year probationary
period, unless extended in accordance with law, to the position of Assistant
Superintendent for Instruction in the tenure area of Assistant Superintendent of
Instruction commencing on March 15, 2022 and ending on March 14, 2025, at an
initial salary of $165,000.
3. The Board of Education hereby approves the written contract of employment
(attached hereto as Exhibit “A”), containing all relevant and applicable benefits,
terms and conditions of employment for the Assistant Superintendent for Instruction.
4. The Board of Education hereby authorizes the Superintendent of Schools to execute
said agreement on behalf of the District.
