All change orders that are over $35,000 need Board of Education approval before being sent for approval at SED. This change order will address additional site work at Klem South. The work will revolve around the following: A full depth replacement of the entrance road from Klem Road back to the Klem South campus. In addition, there will be sidewalk work around the side entrance (receiving area) to the building to enhance bus drop off capabilities. This additional work was requested by the district since the pricing and available manpower to complete the work was advantageous at this time. The funds are available to perform this work through our construction contingency budget and the work falls within the voter approved scope of the project. The total contract amount for DiFiore will increase from $3,177,223 to $3,293,144. It is anticipated that the work will commence when school is out for summer recess and in conjunction with previously scheduled site work at Klem North and Klem South.
