6/23/2022 To: Brian Neenan, Superintendent From: Brian Freeman Re: 2022-23 BOCES Transportation Contract Cc: Board of Education Attached you will find a contract with Monroe 1 BOCES for transportation services for the 2022-23 school year. BOCES transports an estimated 40 students a year for the district. There are fluctuations due to program changes and students leaving the district that could make it higher or lower depending on the month. The contractual amount for approval is $799,941 for next year. This projection is lower than years passed as BOCES is no stranger to the market shortage for driver’s. They had to cut back on the amount of runs they could support for this reason as well. This contract is fully aidable under Transportation aid and not through BOCES aid for your reference as well. BOCES currently provides transportation services to many districts in the area as well as Webster. It is the recommendation of the business office that the Board of Education approve the attached contract. If you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you.
