However, The USDA pricing model in which the district would normally have to follow has been suspended for the upcoming year. As reference, the last set of pricing from the 2019-20 year are as follows below. For your knowledge, the target average price by the USDA calculator for the district that year was $3.05 Breakfast ($1.75 Elementary, $2.00 Secondary) Elementary: $2.60 Middle: $2.80 High School: $2.80 Average: $2.73 County Average: $2.83 The district was able to stay below the target due to diversion of commodity goods to help lower food costs. The district is maintaining the same principal, but food costs and limited supply have increased supply pressure causing us to raise prices. It is recommended that the following price structure be adopted for 2022-23: Elementary: $2.90 Middle: $3.00 High School: $3.00 Average: $2.97 County Average: $3.03 (lunch) Breakfast will move to a uniform $1.75 for elementary and $2.00 for secondary students for 2022-23.
