The district will take over the remaining work under the electrical contract for the elementary school projects. The bid was accepted by the Board of Education on January 21, 2021. The electrical contract that was awarded that evening was as follows: Electrical Contract: Mylerson Electric, Inc., 120 Mushroom Blvd, Rochester, NY 14626 Total Contract: $1,765,000 Base Bid: $1,572,000 Alternate #1 - Millwork: $193,000 On November 17, 2022 the district was notified by Mylerson’s Surety Bond holder (Nationwide) that all payments be forwarded to them and not Mylerson. The remaining balance on the contract for Mylerson is for a total of $193,111.87. Over the last two weeks the district has verified that claim to Nationwide and further verified that Mylerson is no longer capable of performing the remaining work. The district does not have to rebid the remaining work and has also begun the process reaching out to several electrical contractors to quote the remaining work to be completed and ascertain if they have the available workforce to complete the items.
