April 1, 2023 To: Brian Neenan,Superintendent From: Brian Freeman, Assistant Superintendent for Business Re: 2023-24 Technology Lease Approval Cc: Board of Education Attached you will find the resolution (Schedule C) to approve an additional 2023-24 technology lease. This will be for the specific project of upgrading the district’s cabling, data closets, and network hubs in all 11 buildings. A detailed listing of specific items are also included as well as the contract between the district and Monroe 1 BOCES. The lease will be for three years and will be handled through our partners at Monroe 1 BOCES to maximize our state aid for the program. The terms and conditions are attached for your information as well. The total cost becomes aidable for the district on a year to year basis. The total cost for the purchase is $1,580,576.10. That cost will be divided over the 3 year term for $526,858.70 per year. This lease is pending budget approval by the voters in May. The technology team and BOCES are trying to get a head start on the approval process for the lease with SED so equipment can be ordered July 1, 2023 in an attempt to maximize the summer season for this intensive work.
