The bids were opened on April 28, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Buildings and Grounds Facility. The work to be performed is the renovation of technology room SW6 for removal of existing windows and installation of a sectional door. There was one proposed alternate for casework removal and replacement. After opening the bids the following contractor was deemed to be the lowest responsible bidder: R.B. Mac Construction Co. 6688 Lincoln Avenue Lockport, NY 14094 Total Base Bid: $94,500 Proposed Alternates: N/A (Rejected due to cost overrun) Total Contract: $94,500 Based on the recommendation of the project team, the contractor references, and the contractor’s previously completed projects, it is the recommendation of the business office to accept R.B. Mac Construction Co. as the lowest responsible bidder for the base bid work. It is further recommended to have the Board of Education approve and award the contract at the May 2, 2023 meeting.
