Securing Grants for the Town of Webster
Initiative History
WEDA, Capital Project Design Consultants, and Department Heads have secured grants for the Town over the last 20+ yrs. Process lacks overall organizational view to both strategize ability to obtain more grants through collaborative, concerted efforts and to celebrate wins. Supervisor Flaherty engaged 7 Department Heads, WEDA Executive, and auxiliary staff August 2022 - March 2023 to discuss a strategy moving forward. Town will be issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to consultants locally and state-wide for assistance identifying, applying for, and managing grants. Town is also investing in training for its staff and encouraging Department Heads to research opportunities and communicate findings at monthly meetings.
