LONG-TERM EMS UPDATE

the committee

Long-term solutions are for the timeframe of January 1, 2025 and beyond. Committee to discern long-term EMS solutions was formed in February 2024 and is co-chaired by Councilman and EMS liaison John Cahill and Russ Ziskind. The committee is comprised of EMS professionals from New York State with EMT, paramedic, EMS agency chief, billing, and legal/accounting expertise. The committee’s mission statement is to counsel the Webster Town Board on various long-term EMS options available to Webster when considering their Municipal Authorities with New York State. The first charge of this committee was to develop a Request for Inquiries (RFI) to gauge interest of EMS agencies covering Webster. Twenty-one (21) EMS agencies in Monroe County and Wayne County were sent the RFI in May 2024, with a deadline of June 24, 2024 to remit by.
