Liz Gutherie, a Webster resident, came before the Board regarding her concerns about litter on
the roadways in Webster. She shares her personal efforts to clean up various locations, such as
Charles E. Sexton Memorial Park and the area in front of the AMC movie theater. Ms. Guthrie
highlights the responsibility of garbage collection companies in contributing to the litter problem
due to improper disposal practices. She also points out neglected "dead zones" around the Town
that attract trash, urging the Town of Webster to take action, potentially through a community
initiative similar to "adopt a highway", to encourage local businesses to take greater care of their
properties and promote a cleaner environment.
