Irondequoit BayTechnicalStaff /CoordinatingCommittee Irondequoit Bay Coordinating Committee (IBCC)
Background
▪ Established in 1985 as an advisory committee through an Intermunicipal Agreement (IMA) between Monroe County and the (3) Towns that surround the Bay. ▪ The IBCC coordinates among various levels of government with an interest in the Bay, all levels of public and private use of the area, and to develop, recommend and monitor related policies
Irondequoit Bay Technical Staff (IBTS) ▪ Subcommittee of the IBCC. Membership made up of representatives from: ▪ Monroe County Planning & Development ▪ Towns of Irondequoit, Penfield and Webster ▪ NYS DEC ▪ Monroe County Soil and Water Conservation District
▪ The IBTS meets monthly and was created to review proposed projects located around the Bay and offer comments and recommendations to the permit-issuing agency for their consideration.

Break walls Permanent docks / moorings / boat houses Permanent Structures (buildings, accessory structures, decks, etc.) Additions / Alterations to existing structures Excavation / Dredging / Filling Boater activities, engagement with local marina owners Regulatory signage in the Bay (speed limit, no wake zones, etc.) Protection/Preservation of woodlots and steep slopes (EPODS) adjacent to the Bay ▪ Harbor Management Plan policy updates ▪ Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of the month at 9:30 AM
