Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) project Anticipated Timeline Presentation to Webster Town Board
August 21, 2025: Bob Wimmer from Navitas workshop presentation September 18, 2025: Town Board Workshop: Presentation on tentative timeline. Town Board Meeting: Withum resolution to authorize Supervisor to sign contract to do analysis report on eligibility for Tax credit/Grant at a cost not to exceed $40,000. Withum has estimated a 4–6-week timeframe to complete the report. Navitas has reported that the timeframe to do design/engineering of the RNG project would be 3–4 months November 6, 2025: Town Board Workshop: Presentation on Withum report results. If Withum report supports the eligibility of the tax credit /grant on current items in the $85 million Navitas contract with the town, and the proposed new RNG project, Navitas will report the cost of engineering/design. Town Board Meeting: Navitas resolution to authorize Supervisor to sign contract to do engineering and design of the RNG project. February 19/March 5, 2026: Town Board Workshop: Presentation by Navitas on the proposed construction price and schedule of the RNG project. Town Board Meeting: Start process of setting public hearing for Bond amendment, public hearing on bond amendment, SEQR amendment, and authorizing Supervisor to sign amendment 4 of the current Navitas contract with the Town to add the RNG project. March 19/April 2/April 16: Town Board meetings to carry out sequence of resolutions started on February 19/March 5. July 1, 2026: Latest construction starts on RNG project.
