Preamble.

Whereas, the Town of Webster became a Suburban Town governed pursuant to Article 3-A of the Town Law of the State of New York on January 1, 1967, and whereas, § 1662-a of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York provides that Suburban Towns governed pursuant to the aforesaid Article 3-A of the Town Law may establish maximum speeds at which vehicles may proceed within such Suburban Town on streets, roads and highways other than state highways maintained by the state on which the State Traffic Commission shall have established higher or lower speed limits than the statutory 50 miles per hour speed limit provided by § 1620 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, now, therefore, be it resolved as follows.
